B.J. joined Quinn and Hary in the summer of 2014, after serving four years as General Manager of Q & H’s parent company, Regan Communications Group of Boston. In that role, B.J. provided
strategic direction and operational assistance to the company’s public relations, advertising and marketing teams in Boston, Providence, Cape Cod, Connecticut, New York City and Florida. He
oversaw unprecedented growth in the company, leading the efforts to acquire Quinn & Hary and Alchemy Communications of Jupiter, Florida, as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities.
Before joining Regan Communications, B.J. spent three decades as an award winning broadcast journalist, working for Cap Cities Communications, CBS, NBC, Raycom Media and Global Broadcasting in Connecticut, Philadelphia, New York, Providence and Cleveland . His on-air work includes news anchoring on WCBS Newsradio in New York City, and play by play duties for UConn basketball and football on the Connecticut Radio Network.
B.J.’s specialties include crisis communications, community outreach, transportation projects and public procurement bidding. His most recent proposal writing and mobilization work assisted
Keolis Group of Paris, France in securing a $4 billion contract to operate the commuter rail system for the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority.
His arrival in Southeastern Connecticut is a homecoming for B.J., who began his broadcasting career as morning drive news anchor for WSUB (now WXLM) and Q105 Radio in Groton.
A Connecticut native, B.J. attended the University of Connecticut, where he served as Sports Director of WHUS Radio. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 1981.
